The Coachless Workout

Filed under: Uncategorized — Micah Vandegrift @ 5:47 pm

So with coach gone on vacation with Mara, Micah, Andrew, and I left to fend for ourselves, we decided to try our best not to slack off, which I think we did splendidly. With determination in our eyes and Coach’s voice in our heads we did the following workout:

100 airsquats
10 pullups
10 pushups
75 airsquats
15 pullups
15 pushups
50 airsquats
20 pullups
20 pushups
25 airsquats
25 pullups
25 pushups

For Time.

Pretty grueling but we keep each other going, our times were as followed:

Abby 14.35
Andrew 14.45
Micah 17.35

Mara was a champ and she did the workout separately, her time was 18.54.

I think we can all say that we are feeling and seeing a difference since we’ve changed our eating habits and started working out more. I know I have. I feel better and stronger and like that I see more muscle definition in my legs and arms. Yet, I find it’s hard, and I know everyone else does, to find a balance between having a busy life and finding time to workout as a group. I have faith and know we will find our groove so we can workout together and be consistent about it. There is a huge difference in working out alone and working out with a group. I find myself working harder and longer, and being the runt of the group, I try not to do significantly less than everyone else. So keep the motivation flowing and I look forward to our next workout!
