A proper warm-up

There has been much discussion on what exactly constitutes a proper warm-up. When we first started FAHBG, I remember a few groans about the fact that we were actually doing squats in the warm-up instead of solely in the workout. But sometimes being a coach isn’t just about being cool and everyone’s friend (I know that I break that stereotype [ha!], but stick with me here)

After much rangling and many sleepless nights, I’d like to propose the official warm-up for FAHBG. Please let me know your thoughts

4 Rounds of:

5 overhead squats with PVC
5 pull-ups
5 push-ups
5 medicine ball cleans
10 kettlebell swings
15-20 second plank

Note one exception – if the WOD calls for lots of pull-ups, then pull-ups may be skipped in the warm-up. Otherwise, geaux get ’em, tigers.

-ps- this post just wouldn’t be complete without this little piece about Neil Young – may he be praised.
