Supplement this!

Ok, question. What’s up with supplements? Are all supplement created equal? If not, how do you know what your body needs in terms of additional nutrients or what is considered quality supplements? Micah and I need to start popping these wonder pills but the only supplements I’ve used were Usana and they have been expired for like 2 years. Any ideas??

Well, the word straight from CrossFit HQ is that if you are eating what they recommend (meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little grains, no sugar, dairy optional), then you should be getting all the vitamins and minerals you need from your actual food. The only supplement they recommend is fish oil, for those omega 3s.

    Now, if you can afford it, it can't hurt to add even more vits and mins to your diet through a good multi-v. Josh says Life Extension is a good brand, as is Usana. But if you can't afford it, jut spend your $ on more spinach! … and tomatoes and blueberries and grass-fed beef and …

  2. Cool! I hate taking pills so I will keep up with the good foods. We need to get some fish oil though, do you get yours from Costco?
