What we’ve discovered thus far – tracking daily food intake sucks. It really makes you think about what you eat, and its annoying to write it down all the time.

Here’s the good news – We are all in this together!

  1. Wow… This must really be tough on Micah, because I don’t think I have ever seen him so negative! Primal Fail??? Just because you don’t have a perfect score every day doesn’t mean this is a failure! First, I think it’s a win that we are at least being honest with ourselves about what we’re putting into our bodies. And second, you still have 5.5 weeks left to start improving!

    You know, starting is the hardest part. There is a study out recently that says that sweet/fat foods like donuts and chips and candy are AS ADDICTING AS COCAINE AND HEROIN. Do you think it’s easy to give up crack? NO! It’s hard as **insert your favorite expletive**. But it gets easier.

    Yes, it’s a pain in the booty right now. But as our bodies and minds adjust, it will get easier. And when you start seeing results, that will be motivating.

    Believe me, saying no to that six pack of beer will be a lot easier when you have a six pack of abs to enjoy instead!!!

  2. Yeah, I’m with mara. The first and most important step is to actually be honest about what you are eating and then see how it really stacks up against how good you thought you were doing. Self-knowledge is the beginning of enlightment. So this is huge progress!!!

  3. Thanks Micah for posting this. I think it’s a good thing to make public your eating habits since there’s three possible outcomes; 1. you’re a great eater and people will follow your example, 2. You’re and ok eater and this is the push up need to clean it up, or 3. you’re a terrible eater and you’re evil eating deeds will be exposed to the light. Hopefully if you belong to the third group the collective community will help you break your bad habits.

  6. Wow – after looking back over my tracking there’s one thing for sure, I eat a LOT of sweets. Yet, somehow I feel as though it’s never enough. Is that what you call an addiction?

    I must get better, I will get better!
